Annual Counsellors' Conference

The Storm After the Calm: therapeutically picking up the pieces
Thursday 29th September 2022 | 9.30am to 4.00pm
Didcot Civic Hall, Oxfordshire, OX11 7JN
Conference cost: £125

We're ready to bring people together again, face to face!

We invite you to join us for our Fifteenth Annual Conference for Counsellors working in schools or interested in working in schools on Thursday 29th September 2022.

With waiting lists overwhelmed and professionals feeling the pressure, so much is being pushed back into schools to be the provider of all support. Let's take some valuable time to reconnect in this stimulating and supportive environment.

This virtual conference is suitable for all professionals who work to support young people both inside and outside of the school setting
Conference Programme

Opening Address with Kathy Peto: The Young Person, the Family and the Outside World: how do we as therapists find our positions in the systems surrounding young people?

Kathy began her working life as a teacher and then a youth and community worker, and has been working in the field of parenting education and family support for the last 26 years, as a practitioner, trainer, manager and supervisor within both the statutory and voluntary sectors. Her original training as a psychodynamic counsellor informs her therapeutic work with families, and her interest in how organisations and systems work led her recently to undertake an MA in Consulting and Leading in organisations at the Tavistock and Portman Institute.
